The Case for Fewer, Finer Details

There is a moment in every project when the ideas outnumber the room for them. The napkin fold, the third accent color, the extra flourish on the invitation. Each is lovely on its own. Together, they compete.

Elegance is what remains after the editing. One extraordinary floral moment says more than five good ones. A single beautiful typeface, used with care, outperforms a family of six. The eye rests, and what matters finally has space to be seen.

Editing is harder than adding. It means letting go of things you love in service of the thing you love most. But it is the difference between a room that impresses and a room that moves people.

So we keep a simple rule: if a detail does not deepen the feeling, it goes. Fewer, finer, always.
